Kedungpoh#kknUGM(SIDA)– July 22, 2023. Vice-Regent of Gunungkidul, Heri Susanto, S.Kom, M.Si along with the Regional Coordinator of KKN PPM UGM, Dr. Djoko Santoso, S.Si, M.Si., filled the summit event of the mass planting program with the discussion of living environment in the Kedungpoh Lor Sub-village Hall, Kedungpoh Village, Nglipar, Gunungkidul. 

The mass planting program itself is a collaboration between KKN PPM UGM Unit YO-094 which is in charge in Kedungpoh and Pengkol Village, Resan Gunungkidul community, BPDAS Serayu Opak Progo, CV Dipantara, as well as Kedungpoh and Pengkol Village appliances. The program was initiated as an effort to mitigate the landslide disasters that occasionally occurred in Kedungpoh and Pengkol Village and is expected to provide long-term benefits such as a water source for the community. Its own series of events will take place from July 22, 2023, to July 23, 2023, with the culmination of the event packed in the form of a simple gathering on the night of July 22, 2023, at Kedungpoh Lor Sub-village Hall. 

Inviting two speakers, the Vice-Regent of Gunungkidul, Heri Susanto, S.Kom, M.Si, who delivered material on the living environment, and the Regional Coordinator of KKN PPM UGM, Dr. Djoko Santoso, S.Si, M.Si., who delivered a paper on “Environmental Conservation Through Empowerment of Communities Based on Local Wisdom”. At the summit of the event, a symbolic planting was also carried out by the vice-regent of Gunungkidul, the regional coordinator of KKN PPM UGM, the representative of Nglipar District, the head of Kedungpoh and Pengkol Village, representatives of CV Dipantara, and the lecturer of the field guidance of the team of KKN PPM UGM Unit YO-094, minus representatives from BPDAS Serayu Opak Progo who could not attend the event. In the presence of the villagers of Kedungpoh and Pengkol, the gathering and discussion went smoothly, accompanied by the enthusiasm of the citizens to ask both sources.
